Duluth police are seeking the public’s help in locating the suspect in an attempted armed robbery earlier this month.
The incident happened at about 5 a.m. on Nov. 20 in the area of Fourth Street and Fifth Avenue East. A woman reported to officers that a man approached her and demanded her purse while pointing a gun toward her. The woman struggled with the suspect, and the man fled down an alley and got into a vehicle.
The suspect is described as a white male in his 20s with a round face, about 6 feet tall with a husky build. He was wearing a dark bandana on his face, and dark clothing.
He got into the passenger side of a dark-colored two-door vehicle, similar to a Toyota Solara. The vehicle had fog lamps and may have had a burned-out passenger-side headlight. It drove down Sixth Avenue East, then east on Second Street.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to contact the Duluth Police Department Violent Crimes Unit at (218) 730-5050.
