Duluth Police swarmed an area of Skyline Parkway below Chester Park just after 9 p.m. Thursday after dispatchers received a call about a possible home invasion, shooting and a dead body.

None of it turned out to be true and police later said the person who called the report in is being taken in for a mental evaluation.

Neighbors were kept away from the scene as at least two dozen police vehicles blocked Skyline Drive. They gathered near 11th Avenue East and talked and worried about a spate of burglaries in the area last year.

Police left the scene just before 10 p.m.
