Duluth police respond to call about male suspect grabbing female runner

Duluth police responded Monday night to a call about a female who said she was grabbed by a man during her run on the 1700 block of East First Street.

Duluth police responded Monday night to a call about a female who said she was grabbed by a man during her run on the 1700 block of East First Street.

According to a news release, the female was approached by a male who said he was looking for a house in the area. The male grabbed her hand and attempted to pull her close to him. After struggling, the female ran away from the suspect.

The suspect is described as white, 6 feet tall and skinny with a scruffy face, deep voice, "big nose" and wearing a purple hooded sweatshirt.

The Duluth Police Department reminds residents to be alert of their surroundings and report any suspicious activity to 911. Call Investigations at (218) 730-5560 with any information about the suspect in Monday's alleged incident.
