Duluth police are investigating an assault in Duluth’s Central Hillside neighborhood on Tuesday night.
Duluth Police Department officers originally responded to reports of a stabbing, but police spokesperson Ron Tinsley said Wednesday that the incident is no longer being investigated as a stabbing. Tinsley described injuries to one person as minor and said the male was treated and released from a local hospital.
Police responded Tuesday to the area of Fourth Street and First Avenue West at 8:20 p.m., and found the injured person.
Tinsley said the police are continuing to investigate the incident. No one is in custody at this time, he said, adding that police investigators are “piecing everything together.”
Tinsley did say there was a big police presence in the area and described the scene as chaotic.
