Duluth police nab another property crime suspect

Duluth police continued their string of good luck at nabbing their "Property Crimes Wanted Person of the Week" on Thursday -- this time catching their criminal in just over two hours.

Duluth police continued their string of good luck at nabbing their "Property Crimes Wanted Person of the Week" on Thursday -- this time catching their criminal in just over two hours.

Police released the name of Ryan James Torkelson to the media just after 3 p.m. Thursday. At 5:22 p.m., they received information that Torkelson was at a residence in the 4900 block of Peabody Street, where police arrested him without incident.

Torkelson, 30, has an outstanding felony warrant for forgery and possession of stolen and counterfeit checks. He is lodged in the St. Louis County Jail awaiting a court appearance.
