Two suspects were arrested and stolen items recovered this morning after a Park Point resident saw two men try to enter his car.

According to the Duluth Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area of 3200 Minnesota Ave. after the resident witnessed the men trying to enter his car. The suspects ran from the area when the resident yelled at them. As officers entered the area they saw that many cars had been damaged or appeared to be entered. Some of the items were returned to owners while the rest were taken to police headquarters.

The two suspects, 18 and 20 years old, were each booked on two felony counts of criminal damage of property, 12 misdemeanor counts of motor vehicle tampering, one misdemeanor count of underage consumption and one misdemeanor count of fleeing police. Police arrested the pair just after 6 a.m.
