Duluth native Levi James Madison, 27, of Rochester, Minn., died Saturday afternoon when his car collided head-on with another vehicle on U.S. Highway 14, east of Eyota, Minn.
Madison, a 1999 Duluth Denfeld High School graduate, was a registered nurse at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester.
At least three other people were injured in the two-vehicle crash, which was reported at 4:05 p.m. Saturday.
The other vehicle's driver, 35-year-old Christina Sheldon of Rochester, was listed in serious condition today at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester, according to a Mayo Clinic spokeswoman. Sheldon's husband and two children also were in the vehicle.
Madison received a bachelor of science degree from the University of Wisconsin-Superior in 2005 and a science in nursing degree from the College of St. Scholastica in 2007.

He is survived by his mother, Dawn Madison of Superior; father, James Madison Jr. of Knife River; and girlfriend, Jessica Olmanson of Foley, Minn.
A memorial service for Madison will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4100 Grand Ave., in Duluth.
