A Duluth man pleaded guilty today to three crimes in connection with firing gunshots at an occupied vehicle on Nov. 2.

Kunta Kinta Davis, 31, pleaded guilty in St. Louis County District Court to two counts of second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon and reckless discharge of a firearm within a municipality. As part of a plea agreement, two other crimes were dismissed.

Judge Gerald Martin scheduled sentencing for Feb. 12.

The shooting occurred near the 2500 block of West Third Street in Duluth. According to the criminal complaint, the dispute started when a man accused Davis of selling him bad crack cocaine. A bullet hole was found in the right front passenger door of the vehicle Davis is accused of shooting at.
