A Duluth man was arrested early Thursday in connection with a sexual assault Sunday evening in Morgan Park.
The 29-year-old was arrested at 12:54 a.m. without incident at a Morgan Park home where he'd been staying, according to Robin Roeser, Duluth police deputy chief. The man was taken to the St. Louis County Jail pending charges of second-degree criminal sexual conduct and attempted first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Tips from the public and diligent police follow-through led to the man's arrest, Roeser said.
"We took this case very seriously," he said. "The suspect victimized the entire community."
The News Tribune generally does not identify suspects until they have been formally charged with a crime.

9 inches tall, clean shaven, with a medium build, and short and thinning light brown hair. He was wearing glasses, blue jeans and a white T-shirt with black printing on the front and was traveling on a bicycle.
The man did not know the alleged victim, a 24-year-old woman, police said.
Police were not familiar with the man but his record includes traffic
