Duluth man charged in purse snatching

A 23-year-old man with a history of aggravated robbery faces another charge of aggravated robbery in connection with a purse-snatching incident in which he allegedly threatened others with a knife.

A 23-year-old man with a history of aggravated robbery faces another charge of aggravated robbery in connection with a purse-snatching incident in which he allegedly threatened others with a knife.

Timotheus Andre Bright of Duluth was arrested Monday in connection with the incident that happened May 25. Duluth police say Bright was riding in a car with a man and woman near Ninth Avenue East and First Street when he grabbed the woman's purse and ran from the vehicle. When the other man chased him, Bright walked towards him with a knife before leaving the area, according to police.

Bright faces charges in St. Louis County Court of first-degree aggravated robbery, second-degree assault and possession of marijuana. His previous convictions included felony assault by strangulation.
