There will be limited parking in at the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center ramp and on Railroad Street beyond Fifth Avenue West on Sunday during the annual Fourth Fest Celebration in the Bayfront Festival Park area.
Traffic congestion will increase as the day goes on, the Duluth Police Department said in a news release. Police are advising that those attending events park downtown and walk. Expect long traffic delays after the fireworks. Access to Park Point and Canal Park will be restricted until traffic clears.
Harbor Drive will be closed in the evening, and Fifth Avenue West, below Interstate 35, will be closed prior to the fireworks, which start at 10:10 p.m. and will last 20-25 minutes.
The Aerial Lift Bridge will be in a down position from 7 p.m. Sunday to 1 a.m. Monday.
The police department will be providing traffic control after the fireworks.
