Duluth East was awarded the top seed Sunday for the Section 7AA girls soccer playoffs.
The Greyhounds (12-6) will open the playoffs at 7 p.m. Thursday at Public Schools Stadium against the winner of Tuesday's play-in game between eighth-seeded Cambridge-Isanti and ninth-seeded Eveleth. The play-in game will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Cambridge, Minn.
In the Section 7AA boys soccer playoffs, eighth-seeded Eveleth will open at top-seeded Anoka at 7 p.m. Thursday.
Section 7A playoff pairings will be announced today.
