Duluth Denfeld grad works on deficit reduction

A Duluth Denfeld graduate has been appointed to work with the congressional committee charged with reducing the U.S. budget deficit by $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years.

A Duluth Denfeld graduate has been appointed to work with the congressional committee charged with reducing the U.S. budget deficit by $1.5 trillion over the next 10 years.

Robyn Hiestand, a 1995 graduate of Denfeld High School and a budget analyst for Sen. Kent Conrad, D-N.D., on the U.S. Senate Budget Committee, was among several staffers announced this month to assist the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction.

Hiestand will serve as senior budget analyst for the deficit reduction committee, according to a committee announcement.
