Charges are expected Thursday against two people arrested Monday in what Duluth police say is an ongoing narcotics investigation.
The two were to be charged in St. Louis County District Court today, but the county attorney's office asked for an extension.
According to the Duluth Police Department, the two were arrested on Interstate 35 west of Duluth around 7:30 p.m. Monday. Authorities found 7.5 ounces of crack cocaine, one pound of marijuana and $8,000 in cash. The two are being held in the St. Louis County Jail on booking charges of first-degree possession of a controlled substance.
