A head-on car-truck accident in Itasca County resulted in injuries but no deaths at 10:09 a.m. Saturday.

Devin Hadersbeck, 41, of Grand Rapids, sustained non-life-threatening injuries when the 2001 Buick Park Avenue he was driving west on Highway 2 crossed the center line into oncoming traffic west of Rangeline Road, according to a report by the Minnesota State Patrol. The car collided with an eastbound Peterbilt Conventional truck driven by Gregory Gustafson, 57, of Deer River. Gustafson sustained a minor injury, according to the accident report.

Hadersbeck was transported to Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth.

The State Patrol said the Park Avenue was destroyed, and the truck suffered "severe damage."

No signs of alcohol were detected, and the road conditions were listed as dry.
