Sacred Heart is really a sight to see -- inside and out.
Built in 1896, the former cathedral towers above Fourth Street.
Inside, the building -- which is on a number of historic registries -- is home to Sacred Heart Music Center (whose board owns and operates the facility) and Sacred Heart Recording Studio.
The studio, a separate entity from the music center, is known for its "resident studio guru," engineer Eric Swanson.

In addition to Low (Alan Sparhawk is a studio partner), past clients have included No Wait Wait, Dave Mehling and the Crash Test Dummies, who shot an entire concert at Sacred Heart for broadcast on HDNet.
Portions of the 4 Track Films mockumentary "God Rocks!" were also shot at the cavernous facility, which is highlighted by a nationally recognized Felge-maker pipe organ.
