Duluth's first public disc golf course is opening at noon today.
The City of Duluth Parks and Recreation Department and the Recreational Disc Golf Committee volunteers are hosting a grand opening ceremony for the Miller Creek Disc Golf Course. The event will take place near the course's first hole/basket, located near the lower parking lot of Lake Supe-rior College.
The 18-hole course is located within a new recreational area, along Trinity Road adjacent to Lake Superior College, Enger Park Golf Course and Miller Creek. The course was build using more than 1,500 volunteer hours as well as donated money and materials.
