Dirt-bike rider injured in crash with ATV

A 13-year-old Hibbing boy was injured when the dirt bike he was riding crashed into an ATV about 10 miles north of Chisholm.
The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office reported that the boy, who hasn’t been identified, was riding the bike eastbound on the Chisholm ATV trail near Shannon Lake Road and Ethan Kelly, 24, of Jordan, Minn., was riding westbound when they collided at about 2:30 p.m. Sunday. The boy was transported to the Fairview Range Medical Center in Hibbing with non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Sheriff’s Office. Kelly didn’t report any injuries. Both were wearing helmets at the time of the crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
