Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton will bring his touring jobs summit to Mesabi Community and Technical College in Virginia on Tuesday.

The event is set for 10 a.m. in the theater of the college at 1001 W. Chestnut St.

This is Dayton's fourth regional economic summit in recent days, with events already held in Winona, Fergus Falls and Brainerd and another set for Thursday in Faribault. The governor plans to hold several more regional summits in coming weeks, culminating in a statewide jobs summit in October.

The summits are aimed at "gathering the best ideas on job creation from Minnesotans and to highlight Minnesota's strong business climate and economic development opportunities," according to the governor's office. They are free and open to the public.
