Great Date / A sneak peek of Rubber Chicken's "Bushed"
A sneak preview of parts of Rubber Chicken Theater's "Bushed: A Poetical, Political, Partly Musical Comedy in Two Acts" bounces into Hell's Kitchen on Tuesday. Bart Sutter wrote and Marya Hart did the music for the show that chronicles the rise and fall of the Bush administration. It is funny, edgy, sad and it rhymes, just like the past eight years of George W. Bush.
The full-length "Bushed" premiers at the Harbor City International School Theater in October.

Family Fun / Stories, poetry and music from Norway
Stina Fagertun and Anita Barth-Jørgensen are teachers who perform "The Bureau ofFantasy/Cabaret Avec" in the far-northern city of Tromsø, Norway. This Friday, they partner with Duluth poets laureate Bart Sutter and Jim Johnson on the Reindeer Show: stories, music, poetry and more that celebrate reindeer. Who knew they needed celebrating? Obviously, these people from the north know this. Sutter even has written a book called "The Reindeer Camps," all about Saami life with their companion animals.
Don't miss storytelling by Anita and Stina the next morning at Takk for Maten, a new Norse-food café and store downtown. Bring the kids.
