U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials said Monday that officers confiscated $1.39 million worth of copycat home theater sound systems from a shipment passing into the U.S. at Ranier just outside International Falls.
The 480 units of counterfeit electronics were in a rail car on the CN rail line and were “in violation of intellectual property rights regulations.” The action, which occured in February, is the third large bust at the Ranier crossing in recent months.
