The five men arrested for allegedly attempting to break into an apartment earlier this week in Virginia were charged Friday and identified.

Nicolas James Altobelli, 18; Nathen Paul Zadnikar, 19; Logan George Rasmussen, 20; Logan Ryan Winger, 19; and Jason Jon Russell Callen, 20, were all cited with fleeing on foot, disorderly conduct and trespassing, said a Virginia Police Department news release. Rasmussen received an additional charge of criminal damage to property, following the review of the case by the St. Louis County Attorney's office.

Virginia police officers arrived to the scene of a reported burglary in progress just before 11 p.m. Tuesday on the 400th block of Sixth Avenue South. The apartment occupant reported that at least three unknown people had tried kicking in the lower-level apartment door before attempting to force open the upper-level door, police said.

The five suspects were located running east near the apartment when officers arrived to the scene. The men were located in the area and arrested. A male juvenile later turned himself in at the jail.

The case is still under investigation after Virginia police executed a search warrant on a vehicle involved in the incident. Newly added criminal charges have been forwarded to the County Attorney's Office for review, the news release said.
