A Duluth man who broke into the Superior Trap and Gun Club received a two-year prison sentence in Douglas County Circuit Court Nov. 18.

Erik Ames Westberg, 38, pleaded guilty to one count of burglary. Two additional counts of burglary and two counts of misdemeanor theft were dismissed but read in for sentencing. Westberg was sentenced to two years in prison and three years of extended supervision. He was also ordered to pay $11,339.03 restitution and court costs.

According to the criminal complaint, Westberg broke into the Superior Trap and Gun Club at 5642 S. Highway 35 on April 30, May 7 and May 24. He damaged the door and took cash, food and items including a computer, shotgun shells and hearing protectors.

Westberg was also accused of stealing a bike off a car's bike rack and removing coin boxes from laundry machines at a residential apartment complex in Superior.
