Superior police are asking for the public’s help to find an armed robbery suspect.

A man wearing blaze-orange hunting gear robbed the Holiday gas station at 2111 Tower Ave. early Saturday, according to a news release issued Wednesday by Sgt. Derrick Hughes.

Officers responded to a silent alarm at the store at about 3:45 a.m.

According to the lone male clerk, he was mopping the store floor when the suspect, a white man in his 40s, entered the store. The man walked around the counter to where the clerk could wait on him and asked for merchandise. The suspect then pointed a weapon and demanded the money from the cash register. An altercation occurred and the suspect fled the scene on foot.

No money was taken by the suspect. Police did not specify the type of weapon shown by the suspect.

The male suspect was wearing a blaze-orange and black-patterned deer hunting coat and a blaze-orange pair of insulated bib overalls or pants. He also wore a dark mask and ski goggles.
