A 29-year-old Superior man was shot “at near point-blank range” on Wednesday and remained in a Duluth hospital on Thursday, receiving treatment for non-life-threatening injuries, the Superior Police Department reported in a news release.

The victim was shot shortly before midnight during a dispute at a house in the Billings Park neighborhood in Superior, police said.

The victim was not identified by police, but is cooperating with the ongoing investigation. The victim and suspect knew each other, said the police.

No arrests have been made yet, but detectives have information regarding the suspect, Assistant Chief Matt Markon told the News Tribune.

“This was an incident specifically between the victim and suspect,” he said.
