A Nashwauk man was sentenced on Monday to more than 25 years in prison for criminal sexual conduct, according to an Itasca County Attorney press release.
Bryan Morgan Holl, 36, was sentenced to 306 months in prison after an Itasca County jury found him guilty in April of first-degree criminal sexual conduct and four counts of second-degree criminal sexual conduct.
The charges are related to his repeated assault of a victim when she was 9 to 11 years old. She came forward to family and law enforcement with information about instances of sexual contact that occurred from around 2012 to 2014. Holl was then charged in March 2017.
At the sentencing, the County Attorney Matti Adam said Holl should receive the full sentence of 30 years because of the “significant sexual abuse Holl perpetrated against the minor victim,” the press release read.
While the press release said the court “agreed,” Holl was sentenced to over 25 years.
Holl will register as a predatory offender once released from prison, as well as be supervised by a corrections agent for the remainder of his life.
