A Duluth man was charged Wednesday after a search warrant resulted in the seizure of guns, drugs, cash and body armor.
Law enforcement executed a search warrant at the residence on the 1300 block of East Second Street in Duluth on Friday. During the search, investigators located cocaine, meth, fentanyl and ecstasy pills, along with other evidence of drug sales, as well as four firearms, ammunition and two sets of body armor, a news release said.
As a result of the search, police arrested Carter Ryan Galo, 23, of Duluth. He was charged Wednesday with first-degree cocaine while possessing a firearm, third-degree sale of meth, possession of a bullet-resistant vest while committing a felony and unlawful possession of a firearm.
Law enforcement agencies assisting in the execution of the search warrant include the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force, Duluth Police Tactical Response Team, Northwest Area Crime Unit, St. Louis County Sheriff's Office, Superior Police Department and Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms.
