A 63-year-old Littlefork man died this week following injuries sustained in a rollover incident late Tuesday in Koochiching County.

Edward John Wallum was traveling north on U.S. Highway 71, near County Road 78 and Littlefork, when he lost control of his vehicle, went off the road and rolled multiple times before coming to rest in a ditch, a Minnesota State Patrol news release said.

Wallum was transported to Essentia Health-St. Mary's Medical Center in Duluth. The report did not say how.

A State Patrol update on Thursday, about 36 hours after the crash, confirmed Wallum's death.

The crash happened at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday.
