At 5 p.m. tonight during a committee of the whole meeting, the City Council will discuss turning Garfield Avenue into a racetrack for a police-approved time trials and car show.
If the idea is approved, the actual race wouldn't be until late September or October.
At the regularly scheduled 7 p.m. council meeting, councilors will discuss and likely vote on an ordinance that would require union friendly language in contracts for large city construction projects.
Both meetings will be held on the fourth floor of City Hall, at 411 W. First Street.
