A Congdon Park woman told police she was robbed in her home and she and her child were tied up while the suspects fled.

The Duluth Police Department blocked off East First Street between 34th and 35th avenues east and was searching for two males, police Lt. Peg Johnson said.

"No one was injured, which is good," Deputy Duluth Police Chief John Beyer said.

He said both victims are being interviewed, and officers are working on descriptions of the suspects. He expects that police will be able to release more information this afternoon.

The woman, at a house in the 3400 block of East First Street, called police this morning at 8:45 a.m. to report the invasion, Johnson said, and are now at police headquarters answering questions. She had no further details about their condition.

Police are searching for two white male suspects. The men covered their face with turtle necks and hooded sweatshirts during the alleged robbery.

It is unclear how the mother and child freed themselves or if the victims knew the suspects.

And it is not known how the two males made the getaway. The suspects aren't likely in the area.

As of 10:45 a.m., police were searching Tischer Creek.
