A Cloquet man was among three people killed Saturday when the floatplane they were in crashed in Alaska.

Dead are Bradley E. Johnson, 46 of Cloquet, his friend, Roger Ball, 56, of Conde, S.D., and the plane's pilot, Thomas Iversen, 60, of Nikiski, Alaska. According to the Alaska Department of Public Safety, Division of State Troopers, the fiery crash was reported around 11 a.m. across Cook Inlet from Nikiski, southwest of Anchorage.

Johnson worked for the Minnesota Department of Transportation, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors and old cars. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the Handevidt Funeral Home, Cloquet, and continue Monday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. funeral Service in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Cloquet.
