It must officially be summer. The city of Duluth announced it will open the Park Point Beach and beach house on Friday, assuming the weather cooperates.
The swimming beach will be staffed with lifeguards from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily from now until the last week of August. However, the beach will close during times of inclement weather or hazardous swimming conditions.
The beach house will be managed by the YMCA.
