City to honor top employees Monday

Mayor Herb Bergson will present Clarence Maddy Awards to 15 outstanding city employees as part of the annual State of the City address Monday.

The event begins at 6 p.m. with the first meeting of the 2007 Duluth City Council at 6:00 p.m., followed by Bergson's speech at 6:30 p.m. The reception for the city's outstanding employees follows the speech.

The event will be held in the Duluth Entertainment Convention Center's Lake Superior Ballroom. It is free and open to the public, and parking at the DECC will be free for those attending.

The employees being honored, who were nominated by peers, department directors and members of the public, are:
