Concerns about parking on residential streets near the new East High School will be discussed and potential options will be addressed at a community meeting.
The Duluth City Council unanimously voted Monday to ask that the city administration schedule a gathering of stakeholders, including school officials, local residents, students and city staff.
Local concerns have stemmed from a perception that there is inadequate on-campus parking, leading students to park their vehicles outside an already-
established residential permit parking zone.
"The epicenter of the issue is on 40th Avenue East and Gladstone, where youngsters are parking and causing issues in those particular neighborhoods," said First District City Councilor Todd Fedora.
