City of Duluth to hold virtual public meeting on Piedmont Park improvements

Duluth News Tribune News Brief

The city of Duluth's parks and recreation division will host a virtual public information meeting from 5-6 p.m. Thursday to discuss upcoming improvements to Piedmont Park.

To attend the virtual meeting, go to duluthmn.gov/live-meeting and click on "parks and recreation public meetings" to join the call, according to a news release from the city.

The project will include improvements to site drainage of stormwater, the addition of an accessible pathway through the park and enhancements to the wetlands between the middle rink and upper ball field.

In 2016, the Duluth City Council approved a mini-master plan for Piedmont Park. Federal grant dollars are being used to fund the project.
