The City of Duluth is accepting applications for three vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Commission.

The openings are for the 2nd and 3rd City Council Districts and one opening is for someone with "formal education in recreation who is employed in that field."

This commission advises the city on issues important to parks and recreation issues, facilities and needs in Duluth. The commission meets at 4 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. Commission members are appointed by the mayor and subject to City Council approval.

Applications are due by Nov. 1 and are available by calling the City Clerk's office at (218) 730-5500 or visiting the city's website at www.duluthmn.gov/clerk/boards_
