Meatball dinner
Trinity Lutheran Church will have a meatball dinner from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and younger. Take-outs available.
Call of the Northland: Lefse lessons
There will be lefse making lessons at First Lutheran Church, 1100 E. Superior St., from 5 to 7 p.m. Nov. 3, 4, 6 and 7. All of the lefse made will be served at the annual lutefisk, salmon and meatball dinner Dec. 3. If you have your own equipment, bring it. To register, call 728-3668.

Ukrainian organist Volodymyr Koshuba will perform classical organ music and works by Ukrainian composers at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 2, at First United Methodist Church (Coppertop).

St. Mary Star of the Sea Church will offer a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon Sunday, Nov. 2. Gluten-free pancakes will be available.
Bake and craft sale

Appalachian concert

French River Lutheran Church will have its fall bazaar from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 8, at North Shore Community School. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
