Rhubarb Festival set for June 27
Churches United In Ministry's fifth annual Rhubarb Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 27 at First Lutheran Church and London Road.
This free family event has become CHUM's largest community fund-raising event, with funds earned supporting CHUM's food shelves and emergency shelter.
More than 900 rhubarb pies, along with jams, breads, crisp, bars, muffins and even gluten-free treats, will be sold. A children's area features a rhubarb leaf bean bag toss, crafts and music, allowing children to play throughout the day. A silent auction, food vendors and music rounds out the day.
The free stage show, including performances by Bill and Kate Isles, Crew Jones, Equal Xchange, Jamie Ness, Jim Hall and Merry Little Band, will be under the tent on London Road.
