'A Story of the Christmas Star'
On Sunday, Dec. 20, Pilgrim Congregational Church members will present "A Story of the Christmas Star," an original story written by the Rev. Charlotte Frantz. Children, youth and adults will participate together in bringing to life this story of a bit of dust in the heavenly realm. The service that features this story will begin at 10 a.m. The church is located at 2310 E. Fourth St. A coffee hour will follow the service.
Children, star in the nativity
Children are invited to participate in the nativity scene during the 5 p.m. Christmas Eve worship service Dec. 24 at Concordia Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2501 Woodland Ave. Costumes will be available for shepherds, angels and various animals; come early for a costume. Children are also invited to wear their own costumes or to come in their animal pajamas. All children, whether costumed or not, will be invited to be a part of the celebration. Sunday School Christmas program

The Christ Lutheran Church's Sunday School Christmas program will be presented at 11 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 20. The church is located at 2415 Ensign St. A light lunch will be served immediately following the service in the Fellowship Hall.
Salem Covenant events

Bill Bastian performs
Bill Bastian and the Highland Quartet will again bring their Christmas music to Morgan Park. On Sunday, Dec. 20, at 2 p.m. United Protestant Church in Morgan Park will host its annual Christmas music concert. A free-will offering will be taken. The church's address is 830 88th Ave. W.
