Chicken dinner

Jim and Ted perform
The 2010 concert series at Lester Park United Methodist Church, 5401 E. Superior St., begins at 3 p.m. Sunday, April 11, with a performance by country music's Jim and Ted. An open jam session will be held from 1 p.m. until the concert, and a dinner follows Jim and Ted's performance at 5 p.m. Cost is $15 for adults, $8 for children and $40 for families. Call 525-4373.
Church martyr remembered

On Sunday, April 11, Pilgrim Congregational Church, a United Church of Christ, will remember modern church martyr Oscar Romero, slain archbishop of San Salvador. The 10 a.m. worship service will include music from the Salvadoran Folk Mass and a presentation by Diane Light, member of an ecumenical delegation that traveled to El Salvador for the 30th anniversary commemoration of Romero's death. Female bishop to speak
Bishop Barbara Harris, the first woman ordained a bishop in the Anglican Communion, will speak on "One Flock, One Shepherd: A 21st Century Vision for the Church" at 7 p.m. Monday in Our Lady Queen of Peace Chapel on the campus of the College of St. Scholastica. Free and open to the public.
