Authorities have ruled the death of a 61-year-old Chisholm man at Longyear Lake on June 11 as an accident.
The body of Eric Michael Hainey was found floating in shallow water near the edge of Longyear Lake in Chisholm. Preliminary autopsy results from the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office indicated it was an accidental drowning, a news release said Monday.
St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the Chisholm Police Department responded to a call of a dead body at approximately 4:10 p.m. Thursday, according to a news release from the sheriff's office.
