Two people were hospitalized and are in stable condition today after they were stabbed early this morning in Chisholm, according to Chisholm police.
Police were called to the 100 block of Lake Street in Chisholm at 1:37 a.m. for an assault and found two people, a male and female, had been stabbed in front of the USWA Union Hall.
Michael Jon Madich, 51, of Chisholm, has been taken into custody in connection with the assault. Chisholm police were assisted by St. Louis County Sheriff's deputies, Minnesota State Patrol officers and Chisholm and Hibbing ambulance personnel.
The victims' names are being withheld.
