The parent company of News 6 has entered into an agreement to manage day to day operations of KDLH-TV 3.

In a complex deal announced Friday, Granite Broadcasting Corporation will finance the $10.8 million sale of KDLH to Malara Broadcasting. Granite has also entered into a long-term agreement with Malara to provided management services to KDLH to oversee advertising sales, programming and news.

The sale agreement, subject to Federal Communications Commission approval, could be closed as soon as August.

This is the second time in two months KDLH has been sold. In February, New Vision Television bought the CBS affiliate for a reported $7 million.

In addition to financing the sale of KDLH, Granite will sell its ABC affiliate in Fort Wayne, Ind., to Malara for $45.9 million and provide management services for that station. Granite will also purchase the Fort Wayne NBC affiliate from New Vision Television for $44.2 million.

Details of the agreement were outlined in a press release issued by Granite Friday. Officials at News 6 could not be reached for comments at press time. KDLH officials referred questions to New Vision Television, and calls to that organization were not returned Friday.

News 6 employs approximately 75 people and KDLH employs 64. Murphy McGinnis Newspapers have a news sharing agreement with News 6.
