Duluth police have released the name of the man shot to death late Saturday in an apartment near downtown Duluth.
Stanley Michael Boody, 35, died from a single gunshot wound, the St. Louis County Medical Examiner's Office has preliminarily determined. The office has preliminarily ruled the death a homicide.
Boody and a second man were shot at 227 W. Third St, Apartment 3, shortly after 10 p.m. after a drug deal went wrong, police said. The two men were taken to local hospitals with gunshot wounds, and a third was found outside the building with head and facial wounds from being pistol-whipped, police said.
Boody died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday.
