A cat shot with an arrow Thursday night or early Friday morning made a full recovery and was released from the Superior Animal Hospital on Monday, according to a Superior Police Department report.
The cat's owner, Matt Gustafson, who lives in Superior's East End, told police that both of his cats go out in the evenings. The cats normally don't stay out all night, but Thursday night one cat didn't come home, the report said.
When the man got up Friday morning he found the cat sitting on his front steps with an arrow through it. The arrow, which was missing its tip, appeared to have pierced the skin near the spine, but the injury was not life-threatening.
Community Service Officer Chris Wagner encouraged the man to keep his cats inside.
