The Cass County Sheriff's Office is investigating a report of an armed home invasion and assault early Tuesday in the Sugar Point area near Federal Dam on the east side of Leech Lake.
The office received the report at 6:46 a.m. from a man who said two men came into the home overnight with guns, assaulted him and then stole his truck.
The alleged victim described the men as American Indian, each more than 6 feet tall with thin builds. Their ages were described as mid- to late-20s. Sheriff Tom Burch said a third suspect, a woman, may also have been involved.
