Caped crooks caught in Hermantown

Hermantown police arrested a 22-year-old man in a Wonder Woman cape on suspicion of various charges and issued a citation to a 29-year-old woman in a Bat Girl cape after the two were reported shoplifting on the 5200 block of Miller Trunk Highway Sunday night.
The Hermantown Police Department said the two entered a store with the capes on just before 10 p.m. The man was taken to the St. Louis County Jail after being accused of carrying a concealed handgun without a permit, theft and possession of a hypodermic needle, according to the department. The woman was cited for possession of a hypodermic needle and released.
