The $342 million ‘can of worms’ reconstruction project will be the subject of a pair of public meetings on Monday.

The meetings will give the public an opportunity to provide input, ask questions and get the latest updates about the proposed project to rebuild and modernize the current infrastructure at the Interstate 35, I-535 and Minnesota Highway 53 interchange, said a Minnesota Department of Transportation news release on Tuesday.

Traffic restrictions expected in the 2020 construction season will be outlined at the meetings.

Preliminary work on the project will continue through 2019 with construction scheduled for 2020-23.
