  • At its first meeting yesterday, the Duluth Economic Development Authority was briefed by city staff on potential residential and commercial projects. As its first order of business, the group elected City Council President Joyce Benson authority president.
  • Duluth's Greater Downtown Council and Miller Hill Mall are making a joint effort to lure shoppers next weekend from Thunder Bay, Ontario. The businesses have sponsored a radio and newspaper advertising campaign that is running in Thunder Bay this week.
