Duluth City Clerk Howard Wold said yesterday he expects about 26,000 voters to go to the polls in today's primary election. Wold said a 26,000 turnout would represent about half of those registered to vote.

Hermantown teachers last night voted to withhold extracurricular services starting today as a bargaining weapon in their contract dispute with the Board of Education. The action covers such activities as athletics, dramatics, speech and musical functions outside the normal day. Sept. 15, 1990

Vietnam veterans gathered last night to honor men listed as missing in action and as prisoners of war during a ceremony that began a 24-hour vigil. Local and state politicians also attended the event, held at the Duluth Civic Center.

The federal government filed suit this week against the city of Duluth for removing anti-pollution devices from city vehicles. The devices were removed when the city converted vehicles to propane to save money on gasoline, city officials said.
